Onboarding Made Easy

Published by Marketing on

CVMinder ATS users enjoy central control over their Pre Employment Checks (PECs) and onboarding. Everything is centralised so that evidence can be collected in one place and checks can be shared and signed off. That’s great for employers like Care Providers and Schools because recruiting falls under Safer Recruitment regulation. They want absolute certainty in the process to avoid last minute panic before any regulatory inspection.

Given that it’s such an important area of the system, we decided to make our PEC and onboarding module a whole lot better. We’ve started by launching two new, great features:

  • Document Exchange
  • Custom Forms

Document Exchange for Employment Checks

Directly from a candidate’s PEC checklist, you can:

  • Request and receive evidence like a copy of utility bill or passport photo
  • Serve a pro-forma or personalised document for your candidate’s review and agreement
  • Serve a document for candidate completion and return.

Your users can also upload documents like interview notes directly into an appropriately configured check.

How does a document exchange help with onboarding?

Imagine that a candidate can receive your company handbook then confirm their agreement! Simple. Perhaps you’d prefer to request a utility bill as part of your residency or right to work checks. CVMinder ATS makes onboarding new employees easy. Just press a button and get the documents you need, ready for your review.

Custom Forms for Employment Checks

How are your candidates declaring their health, HMRC, next of kin and other information? Most employers have moved away from Word and PDF forms because candidates can’t complete them easily. Many employers are using online solutions like Cognito Forms, Google Forms or pro-Forms.

Whilst they are great options, they’re not generally integrated with your Pre Employment Checks and onboarding process. Instead employers send each candidate the URL(s) for the forms to complete. The employer then downloads and checks the completed forms then stores them somewhere else. They’re detached from the employment checking process.

Now imagine that you can request that your candidate should complete your forms directly in CVMinder ATS. Imagine that request and return process happens right inside your Pre Employment Checklist. Completed forms will be right there, ready for your review!

It’s easy to manage your onboarding forms seamlessly in CVMinder ATS:

  1. Create a form (like a Health Questionnaire) in CVMinder ATS.
  2. Preview it to make sure that it looks OK.
  3. Add it to a Pre Employment Checklist as one of your checks.
  4. Whilst conducting checks, message your candidate to complete the form.
  5. The candidate completes the form in their CVMinder account.
  6. Identify when the form arrives so that you can check and approve it.

You can have any number of onboarding forms and attach them to one or more Pre Employment Checklists. That makes it super simple to onboard differing types of employee.

Thanks to our Customers

We want to thank all of the customers who contributed to this development. In particular we want to thank HadiCare, a growing Care Provider that uses our best ATS for Care. They were the first to give our new PEC additions a full road test. James, their Recruiting Manager, created 11 forms in just one day. They updated their main Pre Employment Checklist to include their new forms and document exchanges. Then we all waited for the first candidates to advance their checks.

It worked! HadiCare’s forensic understanding of the process was invaluable. Thank you HadiCare once again. It was absolutely fantastic to have your support.
