Monster pauses European operations

Published by Marketing on

Today, Monster has paused its operations across Europe.

CareerBuilder and Monster have recently entered a sale process under Chapter 11 proceedings in the US. Chapter 11 refers to the chapter of the US Bankruptcy Code that sets out the statutory procedure for reorganisation proceedings under US bankruptcy law.

As part of the sale process, BOLD acquired Monster’s trademarks, including worldwide domains. However, they only acquired Monster’s job board business in the United States. As a result, a decision has been made to temporarily suspend Monster’s European websites. European sites are no longer accessible as from July 30th 2025.

For those who publish jobs organically (free) to Monster via CVMinder ATS, the lack of Monster’s European websites access will prevent viewing those jobs. We may be required to pause Monster publishing until we receive further updates.

We sincerely apologise for this abrupt interruption and any inconvenience this situation may have caused. We will update you once we receive further information.

What can you do?

During the time that Monster pauses its European operations, try to use other candidates sources. CVMinder ATS makes it easy to publish your vacancies more widely. Indeed, GOV Find a Job, Talent and others are useful alternatives for posting any type of vacancy.
